Ss should go over the sentences in Ex. 1 individually so that everyone makes an effort. Then collect the answers from the class. Get Ss to correct the false statements.

Let the Ss work on Ex. 2 in pairs. Then call out Ss to read aloud the completed passage to the whole class.

Allow the Ss a couple of minutes to go through Ex.

3. Then call out some of them to give the complete sentences and put them into Chinese.

Before starting to do Ex. 4, give the Ss the following examples： I used to smoke, but I've got rid of the habit now. ( to + do) I am quite used to the hot and damp weather in the south. ( to + noun) When the Ss understand what to do, get them to make sentences. Set this for homework if there is not enough time in class.
